Ano Vouves
We will make a small stop at Ano Vouves, at the ancient olive tree. This is the oldest recorded olive tree in the world, proclaimed as a natural monument. Its age is estimated between 3000 and 5000 years and still remains alive. Next to the monumental tree, visitors can learn about the olive cultivation at the Olive Tree Museum of Vouves.
Winery
With our visit to this winery of Chania you will witness the process of vinification. Here you will enjoy a guided tour around the winery’s facilities with explanation of the wine making procedure. At the end of the tour you will taste different labels from the winery accompanied with cheese bites, Cretan rusks and homemade olives.
Beer
Beer is always a good choice during the hot summer days. You will have the chance to explore the different sorts of beer produced by this local environmental friendly brewery and have a guided tour.
